Breastfeeding Support

I am an experienced breastfeeding mom and an accredited La Leche League Leader.  I can provide unlimited, FREE breastfeeding help throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond.  La Leche League (*see below). is an international breastfeeding support organization which strives to help women have a successful breastfeeding relationship if they so desire.  It was developed in the ’50s by women who wanted to provide resources to mothers who want to breastfeed.

I lead the Northglenn/Thornton group which meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7 pm.  You can find our website here.  Series Meetings topics include:

  1. The Benefits of Breastfeeding (January, May, September)
  2. The Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby (February, June, October)
  3. The Art of Breastfeeding:  Avoiding Difficulties (March, July, November)
  4. Nutrition and Weaning (April, August, December)

I think it’s great when pregnant women who intend to breastfeed attend a four-meeting Series!  It helps get breastfeeding off to a great start!  To find a Group close to you, visit the Denver Metro LLL website.

“…in feeding babies, two substantial mammary glands are more useful than the two hemispheres of a professor’s brain.”

Oliver Wendell Holmes

***Any ideas or inferences about childbirth found on this site may or may not reflect that of La Leche League International. Their policy only states that “Alert, active participation by the mother in childbirth is a help in getting breastfeeding off to a good start.”  Since they are solely a breastfeeding organization they do not take a stand on matters of childbirth.
